Congratulations to Christa Schweng, the newly elected president of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC)! This is how Christa presented the main priorities of her term of office:
"Besides overcoming the economic and social hardships caused by Covid-19, my priority is to make the vision of a post-Covid-19 Europe a reality. This is a Europe that is economically prosperous, socially inclusive and environmentally sustainable. Cooperating with the other European institutions in the conference on the Future of Europe is another focus of my presidency."
Christa Schweng has been the Chair of EU-OSHA Management Board in many ocassions. EU-OSHA Executive Director Christa Sedlatschek and colleagues congratulate Christa Schweng for her new role wishing her the best of success in her future endeavours.
The EESC is an advisory body to the European institutions and consists of 329 members which are divided into three groups: employers, workers and diversity Europe (which encompasses farmers, consumers, liberal professions and NGOs).
