25 Years and Counting: Colorado Company Again Recognized Under OSHA’s VPP

LPR Construction Inc., which has maintained the same status for 25 years, was recently re-awarded the “star” designation.

OSHA is once again recognizing a Colorado structural steel erector for its work in health and safety.

LPR Construction Inc. in Loveland—about 50 miles north of the state’s capital—was recently given the star designation under OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), meaning its 25-year history with the status continues, according to a news release.

"For a quarter century LPR Construction Inc. has been a recognized leader in employee safety and health. They are an exemplary industry leader, and their commitment to excellence in fall prevention and protection is impressive," OSHA Regional Administrator Jennifer Rous in Denver said in the news release.

In addition to being issued for the company's work in fall protection, the star designation, the highest level of recognition in the VPP, was also given for “outstanding vehicle safety management” as well as “pre-task planning programs,” per the news release.

"As we renew their status for another three years, OSHA salutes the company's commitment to keeping workers safe,” Rous continued.

The VPP recognizes employers for their work on “safety and health management systems” and few injury and illness reports, according to its website.
