Pure Safety Group Recalls Guardian and Web Device 3-Way SRLs Immediate Stop Use Required

Limited part numbers affected, with repair available to recertify units.

HOUSTON (Nov. 14, 2019) – Pure Safety Group (PSG) has released an immediate recall on Guardian Fall Protection and Web Device 3- Way Rescue and Retrieval Self-Retracting Lifeline (SRL) units. There have been no reported accidents or injuries related to this recall. This recall affects the following product: Guardian #10974 (50’) and #10981 (65’), and Web Devices #0501312 (50’) and #0651312 (65’). Any and all custom or private-labeled 3-Way SRLs and 3-Way SRLs sold in Arc-O-Pod kits #s #20001, #20004 are also included in the recall


Under certain circumstances, braking forces may cause gear misalignment, potentially resulting in diminished rescue/retrieval functionality. The safety of our end users is of utmost priority. All units manufactured prior to March 2019 should immediately be taken out of service.
